  1. Version 1.01 Just program enhancements. No bug reports.

  3. Version 2.00. No bug reports. RIME.ZIP file dated 11/07/90 had the state
  4. file name STATES.RPT and I changed it to STATE.RPT because that is what my
  5. STATE.EXE looks for. If you update the State and Hub reports yourself
  6. please make sure that the names are STATE.RPT and HUB.LST. This version is
  7. not downward compatible with earlier releases.

  9. Because the format of STATE.RPT changed, I had to rewrite STATE.EXE as
  10. well as PCRLIST.EXE to support the adding of the Hub ID in the Rime Data.

  12. Version 3.00 New Release. With this version HUB.LST and HUB.EXE are no
  13. longer required. If you are currently running PCRelay List Door that you
  14. erase all files and start over, but make sure you save your *.CFG files.
  15. The current version of STATES.RPT, 01-24-1991 now includes the Baud Rate,
  16. and is now complete without the use of the HUB.LST information. This
  17. version is not downward compatible with earlier releases.

  19. Version 3.01. Corrected an error in the Hub and Node routines with the
  20. exit routines. The program was going to the wrong line of code and
  21. it looked like the computer locked up, but was really waiting for a
  22. key press.

  24. Version 3.02. Forgot to log changes. Not sure what I did. A new RIME.ZIP
  25. containing STATES.RPT was included, but I made the mistake of not
  26. checking the format, so this version does/did not run correctly.

  28. Version 4.00. STATES.RPT's format changed, again, and for the life of
  29. me I don't know why. First and last names are now each in their own
  30. columns. Anyway, had to reconfigure the programs to read and index the
  31. new format. Not really sure when this report changed, and it is my
  32. fault for not checking.

  34. Version 4.10. Redesigned the access to PCRelay List Help. It is now
  35. accessable from each option instead of from only the Main Menu. There
  36. is no longer a Help Menu, access now is directly into the first help
  37. screen. You can exit at any point now instead of only at the end of
  38. the help screens.

  40. Version 4.11. Added 'Country' to all references to 'State', also
  41. added some helps for entring the countries since Bonnie has chosen
  42. not to use the international three character standard.

  44. Version 4.20 (PCRLIST.EXE/STATE.EXE). Added the ability to search
  45. by the Sysop's last name.

  47. Version 4.21 (PCRLIST.EXE/STATE.EXE). Finally discovered that Bonnie
  48. Anthony has some BBS systems with two sysops, one under first name
  49. and one under last name. This program now uses the second sysop as
  50. the sysop for those particular BBS systems. I would not have caught
  51. this had I not started the search option for sysop's last name. And
  52. then I did not catch it until after 4.20 was released.

  54. Version 5.00 (PCRLIST.EXE/STATE.EXE). Format in STATES.RPT changed
  55. again. I hope I have fixed STATE.EXE to handle these kinds of
  56. changes. Bonnie added some blank lines to the report and my
  57. program could not handle them as it was. I caught the error that
  58. caused the last record to be incomplete. I was exiting STATE.EXE
  59. and closing a wrong filename. (dumb!) The program was not searching
  60. for sysop's name correctly so I rewrote the code and added another
  61. field to correct this. By doing it the search speed has increased.
  62. I also added a few more bells and whistles to the door.

  64. Version 5.01 (PCRLIST.EXE). Corrected an error in the BBS Name
  65. routine that put you in Node ID option for all files when you
  66. exited the name input field by pressing ENTER on a blank
  67. line.

  69. Version 6.00 (PCRLIST.EXE/STATE.EXE). Corrected an error in
  70. the Hub ID search routine that did not return the user to the
  71. input postion for specific search criteria. This version also
  72. uses new indexes that makes the searches much quicker and has
  73. increased some searches by several hundred percent. A few more
  74. bells and whistles have also been added.

  76. Version 7.00 (PCRLIST.EXE/STATE.EXE). Changed door to use a
  77. registration serial number to avoid sysops having to send a
  78. diskette to get an upgrade. No other changes were made to the
  79. programs' operation.

  81. Version 7.01. Fixed a bug in the serial number routine that
  82. prevented all registrations from being acknowledged.
  83.  
  84. Version 7.02. Same fix as 7.01.
  85.  
  86. Version 8.00. Name changed to Rime List (RIMELIST.EXE) because
  87. of the end of the PCRelay software and the fact that it should
  88. have been Rime List to start with. (grin) Program now supports
  89. many BBS formats and baud rates up to 115,200 and used Door
  90. Patch 3.8 (DORPCH38.EXE). Read DOCs for details.

  92. **** The RIMELIST.CFG file format has changed **** There is now
  93. a 5th line that is for the Door Donar's name, sysop's name or
  94. just "Your Sysop". The serial number is now line #6. Make sure
  95. you add the needed line to your existing .CFG file or registrations
  96. will not be acknowleged by the door.

  98. Version 8.01. (RIMELIST.EXE / STATE.EXE) Name displayed in the door
  99. was incomplete, now displayed as "The Rime List Door". Also changed
  100. making city names that are blank in the STATES.RPT from Zs to the
  101. the last city name. If the last city name was New York then first
  102. blank city name is changed to New York. This will not work in 100%
  103. of the cases but will work more times than not. It is still not my
  104. fault that each entry in the STATES.RPT is not filled. Some are
  105. blank to save having to type the data in each time by Bonnie Anthony,
  106. some are blank because the city name was not supplied to Bonnie
  107. Anthony. Please make sure you install and run the new STATE.EXE
  108. program when upgrading the door.
  109.  
  110. Version 9.00 (RIMELIST.EXE / STATE.EXE) have both been upgraded.
  111. This version is not downward compatible with earlier versions. The
  112. Format of the STATES.RPT has changed, Site Numbers have been listed
  113. and the Buad Rates dropped. The door now supports the Rime Network
  114. under the Postlink software.

  116. Version 9.01. (RIMELIST.EXE  / STATE.EXE) Did too much converting
  117. and changing in the upgrade to 9.00 and had several errors, one of
  118. them fatal in the door code. I have correct all the errors that I
  119. could find, also rewrote the online helps, which seem clearer. There
  120. have been no bug reports (only one day since release) so I can only
  121. hope I have caught them all! (grin) Also changed all the 'Z's to a
  122. single '?' in what few blank fields the STATES.RPT now contain.
  123. Overall the door "looks" a lot better. Could use some feedback on
  124. it.

  126. STATE.EXE version 9.01a. Found a non-critcal sorting error. If names
  127. were in upper and lower case (The/THE/etc.) they were not sorted
  128. correctly. City, BBS Names, Sysop last name are not converted to
  129. uppercase before sorting. This corrects the sorting error. No update
  130. to RIMELIST.EXE. I just added this file to current copy of TRLD-901.ZIP.
